Level of organization
The order of the levels of an ecosystem starts with an organism. An organism is an individual animal, plant, or any single celled life form. The next level in the ecosystem is population. A population is group of the same species that interbreed while living in the same place at the same time. Next is community. A community is made up of different groups of species that live in the same area and interact with each other. The last level is an ecosystem. An ecosystem consists of both living and nonliving factors that interact with each other.
